There may be lactation issues, such as insufficient supply or mastitis. Even if a women is free from all of these issues she is still in a uniquely challenging place. After having a baby every woman is in a state of recovery, her body and her mind needing to find balance, to heal and to be restored. And simultaneously she is required to meet the needs of a newborn baby. It is a delicate balance ensuring that the mother is well taken care of so that the baby may also thrive.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine have much to offer women during this important and intense period.
