Emma brings to Fertile Ground a passion for women’s health. Her fascination with the reproductive and endocrine systems began in 2009 with a series of personal health questions and discoveries which helped shape the path of her career. Emma is particularly interested in the dynamic interplay between Eastern and Western Medicine in the understanding of reproductive endocrinology. Her objective is to help bridge the gap between medical modalities so patients leave with a deep understanding of how to create their own system of wellbeing.
Emma is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Minnesota State Medical Board. Emma studied at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, graduating Summa Cum Laude for both Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Emma has also received certifications in Reiki, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga, and has additional training in massage and nutritional therapy. She has studied and worked in both inpatient hospital and outpatient clinical settings. Emma is grateful that her practice has led her to focus on the treatment of women through all stages of their experience.
She supports women going through IVF by performing transfer day acupuncture treatments onsite at the Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM), Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates (RMIA), and the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM). In addition, she places an emphasis on collaborating with patients to create sustainable treatment plans that may include the use of nutrition, exercise, acupuncture, and Chinese herbs.
In her spare time Emma enjoys making music, impromptu day trips, dancing with friends, being in nature, writing, painting, and sharing time with family.
